Race Results 23rd April 2017

After  the latter part of the week bringing The Levante (very strong winds across the Med from the NE) we’ve had huge seas crashing onto the beaches of Mojacar and Garrucha, Thursday and Friday.  It looked more like Hawaii than the southern Mediterranean!  Expectations for sailing today were not high but, I’m pleased to report that the conditions were very good.  Admittedly there was a bit of a swell, but nothing too alarming and the winds were a mid f3 from the north east to easterly. Consequently we had 7 boats out on the water, both Wayfarers, Express, Europe, Kittiwake, RS Vision, Flying Dutchman and RS Vareo.   Thank you once again to John and Andy for manning the Safety Boat and managing three races.  Results are below:
