After a dubious weather forecast, today turned out to be perfect conditions for racing. Five boats out on the water and all joined in the racing. Thanks to Nick and Paula for setting a good course and thanks to the Safety Boat Crew, John, Dell and Steve for starting and timing the races.
It was great to see the two Flying Dutchmen competing, we were rewarded with some close racing enjoyed by everyone. New sails on the Lark proved to be a great investment by Ian and David, borne out by the results. The sea conditions were quite lumpy with light winds making it difficult sailing for the Visions. It was one of those days when we wished someone had a camera as the sight of our fleet of five in full sail provided great entertainment for the revellers on the beach.
Thanks to Ian for OOD duties and to Dell, John and Steve for manning the safety boat.
